Having put off Kim’s veggie patch off for a few weeks now, today had to be a day for action – especially since we’re off to the beach for 4 days tommorrow. So, on a lovely mild day, I set myself up with the radio on 3RRR 102.7 and listened to old timers like Bruce Berriman (Arts) and Rick E. Vengeance (Folk) who have both been on air for at least 20 years. I then dug holes and a trench, and after much levelling and deliberation, cemented my upright posts in place. It should only be a simple matter to connect my redgum sleepers and lattice now, and I’ll have a dog-proof vegetable garden, with crap soil. Hmm..I’ll have to do something about that too.
