Kim’s baking moment of truth

Tommorrow we get our 10 year old oven door repaired by a company incongruously called Woolly. Only a few years after we had it put in, it began getting lazy, hanging open and letting warm air out. We whacked a little thermometer inside and hung it on a tray rail because we didn’t trust what the dial was telling us. AROUND ABOUT THIS POINT, KIM’S GREAT BAKING FAILURES BEGAN. Each time we get a flat bunch of muffins or something doesn’t rise, I hear screams from the kitchen. I’m not sure what the stronger motivation to get it fixed was: stop the mild whinging or to get a decent cake out if it. This weekend I’ll hoping I’ll get both. Photo of (insert bakeable dish here) forthcoming.
