We don’t need no stinkin’ badges

I will be brief. No I did not attend the Rally against the new Industrial Relations laws last week. No I did not wear a badge in sympathy. Yes, I did support them on the inside and debated it with a foolish work colleague(!). No, I did not think it strange when the organisers quoted 150,000 and the police counted 80,000. Yes, I did curse Kim Beasley because he has no credibility whatsoever and would say anything to become popular. Yes I was proud that Melbourne had the biggest protest numbers in the country by far. Yes I was furious that Howard made a horrible no-comeback comment about only being able to get about 10% of the number of union members to attend when many companies made it very clear that those attending on work-time would be sacked, and many others were intimidated from attending. Yes I am proud of my wife for sticking up for herself. Yes I agree it was not just a love-in. Kim-with-protest-folks.jpg
No, my wife is not the sneering person in this photo.
