I’m always getting my Southbank’s confused with my Southgate’s – I suspect most people use the words interchangeably. Without doing any research on the matter, Southgate refers to a specific shopping complex, whereas I think Southbank is actually a suburb (which contains Southgate). Whew. Anyhow, over the last few weeks I’ve become aware of what I thought was a bold new musical theme emerging under the overhang of the Eureka Tower next to my work. A giant wooden frame of a guitar seemed ready to inspire us all, until they started pouring concrete into it yesterday, and now I think we’re getting a pear-shaped raised lawn area I suspect. Pictures are now following every 2-3 days…observe.
